Basic to Intermediate - July 26, 2009

There were 3 participants for this session; Ameran, Jamal and Rafi. Rafi came all the way from Batu Pahat to attend this course! By the looks of it, all of them love portraiture...it shows in their photos! And they were all using kit lens ONLY! You guys rock!

Basic to Intermediate - July 25, 2009

This time around, we had 2 very enthusiastic participants i.e. Yulie and Jusri. And what a coincidence, both were using the latest D90 from Nikon! The model for this session was Shera, Ekin's (of Mawi) sister!
At one point, both were so enthusiastic that they never took a break from shooting Shera til 6.30pm and even then I had to literally "pull" Shera away from them! Hahaha...! It was a wonderful session!

Jusri setting the camera menus

Yulie concentrating hard!

Shera shot by Yulie, Shera and Yulie shot by Jusri and all being shot by me!

A creative way to hold the reflector by Yulie!

The following are from Yulie...

Balancing fill-in with daylight done correctly...background is not over-exposed

Taken with a reflector to fill-in shadow areas

Another fill-in flash technique

And these are shot by Jusri:

Good composition

A gold reflector was used here to add warmth

Good control of exposure
